Peercode and UMC Utrecht Join Forces to Integrate Physical Activity into Clinical Care
On May 14th, Peercode partnered with UMC Utrecht – a frontrunner in incorporating physical activity as a standard part of healthcare – for an inspiring and valuable event. Together with healthcare professionals from across the sector, we explored the vision, plans, and real-world experiences surrounding physical activity programs in clinical settings.

Embedding Movement in Daily Care
Karin Valkenet (UMC Utrecht) and Govert de Vries from Peercode delivered a clear presentation and live demonstration of Atris, showcasing how UMC Utrecht seamlessly integrates movement into daily hospital routines. Charlotte Rommens and Jolien Netjes shared their practical insights and key lessons from implementing physical activity programs hospital-wide, including essential do’s and don’ts.
Carlos de Miguel Llorente presented the latest findings from his PhD research, and the group also looked ahead: What roles will AI and telemonitoring play in the future of healthcare? And what are we learning from the ongoing OPRAH study?
